COMELEC conducted a hearing regarding the petition for the accreditation of Buklod as a national political party.  Ben Punongbayan, Buklod Chairman, was presented as witness by Buklod’s legal counsel, Efren Mercado, who is also the Party’s Secretary-General and a Co-Founder.  The other Co-Founder, Freddie Non, also attended the hearing.  Buklod expects to receive the COMELEC decision towards the end of September 2009.  The Founders are hopeful of a favorable resolution of the petition.  Click here to view pictures.
